Blitzart Electric Skateboard Reviews – Huracane, Tornado, Mini Flash and Xplore

Blitzart Electric Skateboard – Consistency Guaranteed

Blizzard Electric Skateboards are all over New York. There is a good chance – you will find this logo on every 10th electric skateboard you see in a skateboard park or a street. Blitzart is one of the most successful skateboard brands and their sales are an evident proof.

The brand makes only 4 models, with one of them – Blitzart Huracane – which is the most popular. But all their models have many variants and hence there is always a Blitzart Electric Skateboard specifically tailored for every skateboarder.

Blitzart Skateboard (Inc)

Blitzart is one of the famous and successful electric skateboard manufacturing brands. They are located in California South – where surfing is one of the popular sports. The brand aims at bringing surfing and longboarding to the streets and hence three out of 4 electric skateboards models are longboards.

Unlike Boosted Boards – Blitzart is for everyone. Blitzart targets economic skateboarders and all their boards are priced less than 300 dollars. Even the very popular Blitzart Huracane – having specifications of a lucrative board is not very highly priced.

One back draw though is that all Blitzart Electric Skateboards are not waterproof. It is not recommended to always take a rain check before going out to cruise or skateparks. 100 dollar expensive boards like Teamgee H20 or Meepo Shuffle V4 – covers you all. They offer much higher speeds and more importantly are water resistant.

However Blitzart is best for beginners, kids, female skateboarders and girls. They are lightweight and because they are US made – procuring skateboard spare parts is never an issue. Blitzart is all known for world class customer service.

Blitzart Mini Flash

Blitzart Mini Flash

# Smallest Blitzart Electric Skateboard
Blitzart Mini Flash - Stylish Electric Shortboard Skateboard
The middle one is Mini Flash. Image from Blitzarts.

Blitzart Mini Flash is the smallest of all Blitzart Skateboard models and is also one of the best sellers. The shortboard skateboard measures just 28 inches making it very compact. You can easily carry it in your bagpacks off to schools, colleges and offices. For cruising and campus skateboarding too – it makes a great easy to carry – motor.

Mini flash is a shortboard skateboard – and not many manufacturers make shortboards. The more focused segment is skateboards measuring 31 inches and more and hence the brands chose to just design one shortboard skateboard model in their inventory.

We have reviewed almost all the available shortboard skateboards in the US market. Check it out if you are interested in other smaller boards.

Motor and Battery

Mini Flash is not that powerful. It features a 250 Watts hub motor in comparison to 350 W Blitzart Tornado and Blitzart Huracane.

You can go 12mph and can chose between two speed modes – beginner and advanced. 12 miles is like using all the motor power because generally you will not find such lesser watts – racing the board to anything post 10 miles per hour.

Blitzart Mini is electrically powered by a 24.4 Ah battery. The shortboard can run 8 miles straight before a complete drain out. 8 miles is enough if you are running the board within campuses and city limits – and a shortboard like Mini is actually meant for that.

Blitzart mentions the charging time to be 2 hours – but in reality it takes around 20 – 25 minutes extra to get fully charged. Regenerative braking helps a bit in saving the battery fuel but you cannot expect highly after it has run 8 miles straight.

A welcome update is the newly modified Blitzart Mini’s remote. In 2020 they got rid of the old model and the same remote which controls in Tornado and Huracane was introduced in Mini as well. The remote works pretty well for Mini. Our review might change a bit for the same remote’s performance for Tornado and Huracane.

Build and Design

Blitzart Mini features a tough deck. It is built up of 5 layers of maple sandwiched between 2 layers of bamboo. Bamboo is a surprise in an electric skateboard costing so low.

The deck can hold 270 pounds! This is way more than the shortboard skateboards in the same range. Hiboy, Wookrays and other brands just offer 180 pounds. The increased pounds is because of the infused bamboo. Because of this – it is a great board for full size skateboarders and does not gets restricted to kids and teenagers.

Blitzart Mini measures 28 x 7.5 x 5 inches and weighs 9 lbs! The decreased weighs gives you one more reason to buy it. Wheels are 2.3 inches polyester – which are good enough for streets and highways. They can also handle rocky patches – however the motor watts will not support the inclination if you ever ride it on hilly rocky surfaces.

Kicktail is great for performing tricks. No other Blitzart Skateboard comes with a kicktail. And being a lighter skateboard – Mini holds up well in ollies and switches as well as on ramps and rails.

Price

All Blitzart Electric Skateboards are priced very moderately and Mini Flash is not an exception. Although considering other cheaper brands – like Wookrays – Mini can cost you 20 to 30 dollars more. But Mini supports extra mileage and load – both which are not the same in other low cost shortboard skateboards.

If you want something like Blitzart Mini – then Meepo Mini and Teamgee H20 are other options – although they are twice as much as this Blitzart Model.

Blitzart Mini Flash Skateboard – Best For

Blitzart Mini Flash is best for adults as well as young kids because of 270 load limit capacity. It is a shortboard – making it convenient and portable for office and college goers. 250 watts motor makes it safe for kid skateboarders. So all in all – it is a skateboard for all and everybody.

It’s universality is one reason for it’s high demand. The same cannot be said for other Blitzart Electric Skateboards. Huracane although tops the sales – has this drawback – that it’s not as portable as Blitzart Mini.

Blitzart Huracane

Blitzart Huracane

# Most Sold Blitzart Electric Skateboard Longboard
Blitzart Huracane - Blitzart Electric Skateboard

Blitzart Huracane and not Blitzart Hurricane (as mentioned wrongly on the amazon page) is the most sold skateboard longboard. It topped the chart this year – with sales touching 1 lac boards just from online selling platforms. The reason – it is a very well rounded electric longboard in terms of price, quality and specs.

Huracane is one of the budget electric skateboards – marketed mainly in the US. Like the Blitzart Mini – you are going to find this one too – all around the cruising streets.

Electric Longboards are again a deviation from the standard skateboards. Manufacturers do make them – but again you will find 2 models of longboards – and 10 models of skateboards from a single brand. If you are interested in more premium longboards which offer a more comfortable and a speedy ride – check out our in length post titled – Best Electric Longboards. We have reviewed ten of the most popular ones – in length and also included special discount coupons.

Motor and Battery

Blitzart Huracane features a medium 350 Watts hub motor. All Blitzart Electric Skateboards come with the same motor – except for Mini Flash which is 100 Watts lesser.

Blitzart promises 19mph in the fast mode and 10mph in the slow mode. We tried the board ourselves and the maximum we clocked was 16 miles and 9 miles respectively. We believe the 19 and 10mph must work with lesser pounds.

Huracane is powered by a 36 Volt 4.0Ah 144Wh Battery. You can run the longboard 8 miles straight on a full charge. Regenerative braking helps a bit in saving the battery but again it will just add some more mins to your overall ride. You cannot expect it to perform like a boosted board.

The battery takes 3 hours to charge – which is expected. Overall the battery performance is smooth and does not lag at all. Remote is the exact same as in Mini Flash and works smooth. However when you are running a longboard – you require some more stats which are not displayed in this remote.

The added advantage with the Huracane model is – the two hub motors variant known as Blitzart Huracane GT 2nd Gen. With 700 Watts it comes at par with powerful electric longboards and the speed and the performance increases significantly.

The only disadvantage with 2 motors variant – is the battery. With increased power and speed – you need a board which should support more miles.

Build and Design

Blitzart Huracane has a durable and sturdy deck. It is made of up 7 ply maple sandwiched between two bamboo layers. That is a lot of wood beneath you!

The deck can hold 300 lbs making it a great longboard for over weight skateboarders as well. 300 lbs is the mentioned limit – but we assume the board to handle at least a 50 pounds more with ease.

Huracane measures 38″ X 10″ X 5.5″ giving you a lot of leg space. It weighs 15 lbs which is considered lightweight for a motorized longboard. Other heavy end longboards weigh more than 20 lbs! The deck has an inbuilt handle which makes it very convenient to carry horizontally.

We loved the concave in the middle and the perfectly rising kicktail and nose. The gritty griptape gives the needed roughness for better contact.

The deck lacks flexibility. In longboards flexibility is a much needed specification. A shortboard can be pretty rigid but a longboard is designed for cruising where you require flex.

Although the lack of flexibility is substituted with 3.5 inch 90 millimetre wheels. We found them great! They handled concrete and rough asphalt like a pro.

Wheels are available in red orange and fluorescent green. The orange ones can cost you 20 dollars or so extra – as they give a boosted board look.

Price

Blitzart Huracane is one of the cheapest electric longboards. It costs less than 300 dollars after Blitzarts slashed further 10 percent. The low price and a more than mediocre cruise experience makes it a favourite.

The two motor variant Huracane GT costs almost double. If you are looking for more power than it is a good economic Blitzart Skateboard provided you couple it up with an extra battery.

But again the GTR too is one of the cheapest 700 Watts skateboard. The same Watts in Meepo or Raldey would cost you more than 650 to 750 bucks.

Blitzart Huracane Skateboard – Best For

Blitzart Huracane is for everyone. WIth 300+ lbs support and less than 15 lbs of weight it is a great longboard for beginners as well as full time riders

Blitzart INC has a great consumer support staff. Another reason why you find Blitzart Electric Skateboards all around US.

The GT variant is not for beginners and kids. In fact this is clearly mentioned even on the Blitzart’s site. 700 Watts and the increased speed makes it difficult to control if you are riding an electric skateboard for the first time or you are just a beginner. On the other hand 350 W is doable.

Specs
  • Max Speed: 19 mph
  • Max Range: 8 miles
  • Length: 38 inches
  • Weight: 15 lbs
  • Dimensions: 38″ X 10″ X 5.5″
  • Motor Power: 350 Watts
  • Charging Time: 3 Hours
  • Remote: Wireless with a wrist belt
  • Weight Capacity: 300+ lbs
Pros
  • 300+ lbs of Load Support
  • Budget Electric Longboard
  • Friendly customer support services
  • Availability of parts
  • Very strong deck
  • Inbuilt handle and super portable
Cons
  • Only 2 speed modes
  • The deck lacks flexibility
  • Mediocre Remote
  • Deck is not waterproof
  • Blitzart Mini Flash gives it a great competition with near about specifications in addition to the portability and lower cost.

Blitzart Tornado

Blitzart Tornado

# Blitzart Tornado VS Blitzart Huracane
Blitzart Tornado - Blitzart Electric Skateboard

Blitzart Tornado is an exact copy of the Blitzart Huracane 1st Gen Version and you can say vise versa too. It basically boils down to which came first – the chicken or the egg.

The battery power, motor watts, wheel size and colors, deck ply’s, griptape and even the convenient carrying handle is the exact same in both Blitzart Electric Skateboard models. They are identical twins except for one important difference.

Blitzart Tornado VS Blitzart Huracane

Blitzart Tornado has a torpedo round shape look. The nose and tail both are cut circularly with smaller shoulders. This cut is a more fancier way to carve longboards and also offer a better streamlining.

In contrast – Blitzart Huracane has traditional shape tail and nose. They are squared and not rounded. Most of the premium electric skateboards are tailored likewise.

Another crucial difference is the availability of Huracane GTR 2nd Gen variant – whereas Tornado has no two motor alternative. Blitzart used to manufacture the 700 Watts Tornado too – but lately they have discontinued. We assume the sales were not that high for the Tornado’s Pro version and Huracane already gave all the requirements to the consumers.

Why Blitzart Manufactures Tornado and Huracane if they are Identical?

Why to go the not needed hassle in manufacturing two different longboard skateboards if they are almost identical? Well Blitzart has their own reasons and we believe it to be a great marketing strategy.

There is no extra cost incurred by Blitzarts in maintaining the manufacturing line for Huracane and Tornado. And meanwhile both are very successful budget electric skateboards. Tornado features a more cool look and Huracane falls likelier to Boosted Boards.

You can look at both these models this way. Huracane and Tornado both are one more variants for each others. If you don’t like Tornado go with the Huracane or vise versa.

In terms of Blitzart Tornado’s in length review – there is nothing much left. You can check our analysis for the Huracane Board. Below we will just mention the specifications in brief.

Motor and Battery

Blitzart Tornado has the same 350 Watts hub motor. The motor enable 19 mph if you are riding the fast mode and 10 mph in the slow mode.

36 Volt Battery powers the board for 8 miles stretch. It takes 3 hours to charge the battery with Regenerative brakes adding a little extra fuel to it.

The same mediocre remote controls Tornado – which made us not very happy. It is a good remote for Blitzart Mini Flash considering it to ve a shortboard skateboard – but the same thing in a longboard becomes a little smaller and not fuller.

Tornado does not have a Gen 2 model – so you either chose the 350 W Tornado or go with the 700 W squarer Huracane.

Build and Design

Blitzart Tornado fancies the same 7 ply maple sandwiched between two bamboo layers. The deck can hold 300+ lbs.

Torndao measures 38″ X 10″ X 5.5″. Some sites mention the wrong dimension with 4.5 inches height – which is wrong. The board weighs near about 15 lbs.

Deck design is where the crux lies. Tornado has rounded nose and tail. This will increase a little speed of the board but will take away the kicktail advantages.

A round deck will facilitate more cruising experience and not skateboarding fun tricks.

Wheels are same 3.5 inch 90 millimetre size and are available in the same color variants.

Price

Blitzart Tornado and Huracane costs near about the same. Tornado is 10 dollars to 20 dollars costlier, but will not go above the less than 300 dollar skateboard cap.

Sometimes if you are lucky enough – you can get Tornado with a 10 to 15 percent discount.

Blitzart Tornado Skateboard – Best For

Blitzart Tornado is suitable for all kinds of skateboarders. It makes a great cruiser board and a wonderful portable convenient skateboard longboard for offices and colleges.

We would prefer this board more for cruising for the rounded shape advantage.

Specs
  • Max Speed: 19 mph
  • Max Range: 8 miles
  • Length: 38 inches
  • Weight: 15 lbs
  • Dimensions: 38″ X 10″ X 5.5″
  • Motor Power: 350 Watts
  • Charging Time: 3 Hours
  • Remote: Wireless with a wrist belt
  • Weight Capacity: 300+ lbs
Pros
  • 300+ lbs of Load Support
  • Budget Electric Longboard
  • Friendly customer support services
  • Availability of parts
  • Very strong rounded
  • Inbuilt handle and super portable
Cons
  • Deck is not waterproof
  • Only 2 speed modes
  • The deck lacks flexibility
  • Mediocre Remote
  • Blitzart Huracane gives it a great competition with near about specifications.

Note – Blitzart Tornado Skateboard reviews are based on actual user experiences and is only available on Amazon.

Blitzart Xplore

Blitzart Xplore

# Recently Launched Blitzart Electric Skateboard
Blitzart Xplore - Blitzart Electric Skateboard

Blitzart Xplore is the latest electric skateboard by the manufacturer. It features slightly different shape – and by the first looks you will feel the skateboard to be depicting spider man design and colors.

Honestly Blitzart Xplore has not hit the market as planned. Either the electric longboard has not been marketed well or it has not been received fully by the skateboarders.

Xplore is another motorized longboard skateboard launched by Blitzarts! This actually came as a surprise even to us – because all their models are 38 inches long except for the Mini Flash. Blitzart lacks a regularly shaped and sized electric skateboard.

Being 3rd to two very successful models might be one of the reason the longboard must have still not get the required light. And there is nothing new in the specifications too except for some minor changes and the new design. Anyways if you are interested – we have in length review covered for Xplore.

Motor and Battery

Blitzart Xplore comes with the same 350 Watts hub motor. In comparison to Tornado and Huracane – the skateboard is 2 miles slow – clocking 17mph. The modes are again the same.

However the mileage is a full 10 miles. In it’s other two predecessors the skateboard ran for 8 to 9 miles maximum on the 36 Volts battery. We suppose this good might be because of upgraded ESC.

No update in the remote either. All Blitzart Remotes are the same. You have one and it can power Mini Flash, Tornado, Huracane and even Xplore.

This is it in the motor and battery section. However we have a lot to write in the Design and Built section.

Build and Design

Blitzart Xplore comes with an added 8 ply deck. 6 maple and two bamboo layers. The deck is very sturdy and can hold 300+ lbs.

Xplore comes with 38 x 10 x 5 inches dimension size. The height is .5 inches smaller than the Huracane and Tornado. Weight of the board is also 2 lbs lighter. When talking about longboards and convenience – every lb counts.

The design is radical. It has a fuller middle which contracts as you go deep at both ends. The nose and tail are similar to Blitzart Huracane.

Unlike other Blitzart Electric Skateboards – Xplore comes with 2 handles and that too large! Although it increases the portability – standing on it becomes severely inconvenient. Your foot can stuck in large cut outs.

Wheels are again the exact same measuring 3.5 inch 90 millimetre.

Price

Xplore is costliest of the three. You check out at nearly 300 dollars. Considering the specs the skateboard is not heavily priced and this is true for all other Blitzart Electric Skateboards.

The sad part – you mostly do not find any discounts on Xplore.

Blitzart Mini Flash Skateboard – Best For

Blitzart Xplore is another fancier designed Huracane or Tornado. If we are given a choice we would go with the most accepted models.

However the design might a unique selling point for Xplore. It attracts girls and kids a lot. Even the color and cuts give it an altogether different form.

Specs
  • Max Speed: 17 mph
  • Max Range: 10 miles
  • Length: 38 inches
  • Weight: 13 lbs
  • Dimensions: 38″ X 10″ X 5″
  • Motor Power: 350 Watts
  • Charging Time: 2.5 Hours
  • Remote: Wireless with a wrist belt
  • Weight Capacity: 300+ lbs
Pros
  • Budget Electric Longboard
  • New and Unique Design
  • Friendly customer support services
  • Super portable
  • 10 miles full mileage
Cons
  • Deck is not waterproof
  • Two handles decreases the leg space and seems a bit inconvenient.
  • Same cons as with Huracane and Tornado.

Note – Blitzart Xplore Skateboard reviews are based on actual user experiences and is only available on Amazon.

What are the best electric skateboards to buy?

If you are specifically asking about Blitzart Electric Skateboards – then go with Huracane – $400+ variant. It has the best parts, comes with all the necessary accessories and is a compact durable motorized board.

However it is exaggeration to say – that Blitzart electric skateboards are the only best ones. There are great brands out there – selling boards of equal standards and also in the same price range. Meepo, Outdoor Master, Skatebolt manufacture some of the best electric skateboards. Check out our post – titled Best Electric Skateboards – where we have reviewed 15 best electric decks for cruising and commuting.

We are putting below links to two of the best electric skateboard models below – in case you just want to review them directly. These two are the most popular ones and undoubtedly the best ones in terms of durability and technology.

Are electric skateboards worth it?

Totally! Electric Skateboards are worth every penny! Commuters want something which does not need a parking ticket. It should be sleek and fast. Post Covid-19 sharing a taxi or getting on a train is raising concerns. You want a one passenger self driven motor. An electric skateboard offers all that.

From a cruiser’s point of view – it is the best thing to hop on. The speed, the smoothness of the ride and the long mileage makes it a better alternative for recreational rides than a regular non electric skateboard.

If you are specifically meaning Blitzart electric skateboards – when you ask – “Are electric skateboards worth it?” – we would react the same way – TOTALLY! Every single dime is returned to you – if you have a Blitzart make.

They are some of the best budget electric skateboards and are largely popular. You will never have problem finding skateboard accessories and parts in case you need them. They are durable as well. If you buy in early teenage – a Blitzart electric skateboard – will live your whole teenage years with you.

What is the most powerful electric skateboard?

The most powerful electric skateboard is Raldey’s Wasp Electric Mountainboard. It has a total power output of 3000 watts and looks of a beast.

The deck is entirely made up of 3k Carbon Fiber and comes with giant 8 inches Inflatable Wheels. Check out the photo below. The built itself radiates power.

Note – It is a super expensive electric skateboard.

If you are looking for something less expensive but powerful – then select any model from the ones reviewed in the post – Fastest Electric Skateboards. The skateboards are ranked according to their speed and motor power.

If you want one from Blitzart Electric Skateboard models – then go with the Huracane. Although it features only 350 watts motor – it is a fuller and more powerful board if you compare it with other Blitzart skateboards.

How do you set up a Blitzart remote?

Pairing remote with your Blitzart Electric Skateboard can be a bit technical. Below we have mentioned step by step details for how do you set up a Blitzart remote?

– Switch “ON” the skateboard (the button is at the back side of the deck).
– Switch “ON” the remote.
– Press and Hold the skateboard’s “ON” switch for 5 – 7 seconds until it starts blinking.
– Tap the “LEARN BUTTON” located at the back of the remote with a pin or a clip. The remote will start blinking as well.
– When the skateboard’s switch and the remote both are blinking – it means pairing is complete.
– Enjoy your remote controlled skateboard ride.
